Youth Skills Worker – NQ
The Youth Skills Worker is responsible for supporting girls and young women involved with the SIS Youth Job Program (NQ). This will focus on facilitating employment, education and training pathways for 15-24 year olds in Townsville who are engaged with Youth Justice (YJ) or Queensland Corrective Services (QCS), or those engaged with Queensland Police Service (QPS) and at risk of criminalisation. Most participants will be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

Young Mum’s Wellbeing Worker – NQ
The primary purpose of this program is to address an important gap in services available to criminalised young single mothers in Queensland. It will primarily target Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers who have limited ongoing emotional, psychological, spiritual and cultural support. The program aims to prevent suicide amongst this at-risk cohort through working alongside mothers to address their parenting and emotional needs and provide culturally-enriching fun group activities for these mothers and their children.
